Yoshiteru Yamamoto, I was born in Shirahama, Japan in 1958. In 1991, I moved to Toronto, Canada. I consider myself part of the new wave of artists who use the new freedoms permitted by technical advances in photography to explore a private world. I find the elegant line and romantic physical form in simple plants, vast landscapes, and architecture to be a way of connecting to a private world. My work revolves around a rich world of calm and light, capturing sensual moments of self-revelation and a seductive lyricism bathed in light both concealing and revealing. Through my images, I aim to make people reflect on the beauty of nature.
